Cuisine is very important to all of our residents, and our kitchen team are very passionate about great tasting food. We have maintained our 5* star food hygiene rating since 2010 and are very proud with our score on the door.
We pride ourselves on preparing fresh wholesome meals prepared by our qualified chefs daily on site.
The catering team, Head chef and Kitchen manager Mark Barrratt has 42 years catering experience, 31 years in the armed forces he has prepared meals for royalty, lords and ladies. Gill Monk 11 years service at Ashleigh Manor and qualified in catering since 1994.
Our kitchen is open 24 hours a day this enables staff to access food, drinks and snacks for our residents at any time, day or night.
Our typical day, whats on the menu?
8-10 am Breakfast a choice of cereals, porridge, toast, fruit, yogurt, tea, coffee, fruit juice or a cooked breakfast or bacon/sausage sandwich available on request the day before
11 am Morning coffee/tea and biscuits, snack pots
12.30 Lunch, we offer a choice of two hot meals daily and an alternative of a salad, jacket potato, soup, omelette or a sandwich can be requested
2.30 pm afternoon tea/coffee and homemade cake
4.45 pm Evening meal
8 pm Supper, crumpets, tea cakes, toast, sandwiches, packet of crisps, cheese and biscuits
